Welcome to Mengchen Dong's website!
I am a behavioral scientist working at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Social Sciences.
My research focuses on AI ethics and governance, employing psychological and behavioral science methods to advance human-centered AI development and evidence-based AI policy-making.
Taking a socio-technical approach, I address two overarching questions: How can we build ethical and trustworthy AI ecosystems? How can organizations and societies enable widespread acceptance and beneficial adoption of AI technologies?
Across organizational, societal, and cross-cultural contexts, my work shows how organizational hierarchy, socioeconomic vulnerability, and cultural differences shape human attitudes toward, and interactions with, AI. This interdisciplinary effort aims to suggest practical directions that promote human well-being, organizational performance, and the global collective good in the AI age.
